• LIFTEM components are Recognized by Underwriters Laboratories Inc. under File E243558.
Representative samples of these components have been evaluated and meet applicable requirements
of UL 60601-1, First Edition (2003).
• Underwriters Laboratories, Inc. has subjected the components, in conjunction with the
LIFTEM MKIV Patient Lift and Transfer System, to EMC testing and found them to be in compliance
with EN60601-1-2:2001; EN61000-3-2 and EN61000-3-3; EN55011, Group 1, Class A and EN60601-1-2.
• Underwriters Laboratories, Inc. has evaluated and documented LIFTEM components to the
applicable requirements of IEC 60601-1:1988 + A1:1991 + A2:1995; according to the procedure of
the IECEE CB Scheme.
LIFTEM Systems shipped since December 21, 2004, (starting with Serial Number 53000) have the
appropriate UL markings.
